BREAKING: IT’S A BOY! 💙 A huge congrats to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the arrival of a healthy baby boy, born at 11:01am 23rd of April and weighing 8Ibs 7oz. The Queen and other members of both families have been informed and are said to be delighted by the news. It was reported that The Duchess was admitted to hospital before 6am this morning, with the official announcement made by the Palace at 8:22am, confirming that she was in the early stages of labour. The Duchess’s stylist and PA Natasha Jackson was seen leaving the hospital roughly four hours after she was admitted. Once royal babies arrive, the couple wait a few hours before making an offical announcement, to allow them time to celebrate the birth in private and tell their family. The Queen is traditionally the first to know. With the last two births, William told his grandmother the good news via an encrypted telephone. Once other close members of the family have been told, a public announcement is made. Following the birth of all Royal babies, it is customary for a 62-gun salute to take place at the Tower of London. It is not known at this stage whether or not Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be taken to see their new baby brother in hospital. If they do, it will be sometime after school finishes at 3pm. The birth of a baby boy means that Princess Charlotte has made history. She is the first female royal to not loose her place in line to the throne due to the arrival of a younger brother. The new baby is now fifth in line to the throne after Charles, William, George and Charlotte. Harry has been pushed down to sixth in line. This baby is The Queen and Prince Philip’s sixth great-grandchild. Up until now, George has been their only great-grandson.
Princ William byl navzdory zažitým tradicím u porodu.
